Medjool Dates Supplier UAE: Wholesale Dates from Dubai

Arabian Ventures General Trading LLC (AVGT) is a wholesale dates supplier in Dubai. We supply Medjool, Ajwa, Sukkari, Khalas, Barhi, Maryam and Dabbas dates — whole, pitted or as paste. We buy from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, the UAE and Iraq, check every lot before it is packed, and ship from our Al Aweer warehouse or direct from origin. The minimum order is 500 kg, and mixed loads are available.

Which date varieties can you buy wholesale?

We sell seven varieties. Each one has a different size, colour and texture, so buyers choose by the job it has to do: retail packs, gifting, catering or industrial use.

Variety	What it looks like	Main origin
Medjool	Large, soft, dark brown	Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt
Ajwa	Small, soft, very dark	Saudi Arabia — Madinah
Sukkari	Golden, firm, sweet	Saudi Arabia — Qassim
Khalas	Amber, soft, caramel taste	UAE, Saudi Arabia
Barhi	Yellow and firm when fresh, amber when dried	Saudi Arabia, Iraq
Maryam	Oval, light brown, mild	Saudi Arabia, Egypt
Dabbas	Small, amber, chewy	UAE, Saudi Arabia

Where do our dates come from?

Saudi Arabia is the largest source. Qassim grows Sukkari, Madinah grows Ajwa, and the eastern farms supply Medjool and Khalas. Jordan supplies Medjool from the Jordan Valley. Egypt grows soft dates in Siwa and the Nile Delta. The UAE supplies Khalas and Dabbas from Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah, and Iraq supplies Barhi.

The harvest runs from August to October. Fruit picked early is sold fresh — Barhi is often eaten yellow and firm. Fruit left to ripen and dry becomes the amber, soft date most buyers know. This is why the same variety can look different from one month to the next, and why we ask for the grade you want rather than just the name.

What do buyers check before they buy?

Size grade. Dates are graded by count per kilogram, not by looks alone. A 20 kg carton of large Medjool holds far fewer fruit than a carton of small ones.
Skin. Whole, unbroken skin. No sugar bloom, no mould, no wet patches.
Moisture. Soft varieties should stay soft, but not wet. Too much moisture shortens shelf life in Gulf heat.
Pits. Pitted lines are checked for stones. This is the most common complaint in the trade, so we check it again before packing.
Packing. Carton weight, liner, and whether the fruit is loose or tray-packed.

Grades and packing

All dates are size-graded and sold as whole fruit, pitted, or paste. Standard packing is 5 kg and 10 kg cartons. If you need a different carton size, a retail pack or your own label, tell us the specification and we will pack to it.

What documents come with every order?

Each shipment includes a certificate of analysis (COA), a phytosanitary certificate and a health certificate, plus the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. We send copies before the goods move, so your clearing agent can check them first.

Minimum order and lead time

The minimum order is 500 kg, and you can mix varieties in one load. Stock held in Dubai ships ex-stock from our Al Aweer warehouse. Indents from origin take 3–4 weeks, depending on the variety and the season.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which date variety is best for retail?

Medjool is the easiest to sell. It is large, soft and dark, and buyers recognise it by name. Sukkari and Ajwa sell well in Gulf markets, and Khalas is the everyday date in the UAE.

Do you supply pitted dates?

Yes. We supply whole, pitted and paste. Tell us which one you need, the size grade and the packing.

Can you pack dates under our own brand?

Yes. Send the carton size, the label artwork and the quantity, and we will quote for packing to your specification.

Do you deliver outside the UAE?

Yes. We deliver across the UAE and the GCC, and we export by sea or air to other markets. Tell us the destination port and we will quote delivered or ex-warehouse.

How do I check quality before I order?

Ask for a sample and a spec sheet: variety, size grade, moisture and packing. We send photos for small orders and a pre-shipment sample for larger ones.

Are your dates organic?

We supply conventional dates. If you need organic, tell us the volume and the destination, and we will check what is available from origin before we quote.
